Code support and release

We were reluctant to release the code because we did not have time to a) create documentation and b) provide on-going support for new users.

For a very long time we held the code back. So many people pinged us daily that we gave in a released the code. We knew that some people like yourself would be frustrated, but we simply don’t have the time to do a) and b) right now.

Our next major release will be a hosted (i.e. Basecamp) style version. We will charge a very nominal fee ($99-199) to host and maintain the ticketing system for businesses. By then the UI will have completely changed and the code will be slimmed down. In the meantime, think of SimpleTicket as a freebie ~ you get what you paid for.

Final note: we installed the current version without incident and it is in active use managing around 3500 end users and around 40 engineers. So it does work. We are constantly working to improve it (I think they plan another code update soon). Anyway enjoy and sorry to keep you up so late!
