Why Rails?
Several of you have questioned why we selected Rails to develop SimpleTicket. Easy answer? It is optimized for programmers happiness and sustainable productivity. It lets you write beautiful code by favoring convention over configuration. (we stole that from the Ruby on Rails site)
Truth is, it is easier to program in than say, Java. There is debate on the issue, but the verdict seems to be in - Rails is easier and cheaper. Check out Justin Gehtland’s post on the issue here.
